Dining

A fine selection of meals is an essential part of life on board of all nicko river cruises. The day starts with a substantial buffet-style breakfast whilst lunch and dinner consist of a wide selection of courses. Dinner is served at your table, allowing us to really pamper you. On one or two occasions per week, we vary the seated dinner with large theme buffets. We place great value on a healthy mix of international dishes an specialities local to the area we are passing through.

In the Panorama Restaurants on board all meals are served at one sitting. You can reserve your seat in the Restaurant as soon as you embark and that seat remains yours for the duration of your cruise. We recommend smart casual dresses, particularly at dinner. For the Gala Dinner we do appreciate a greater degree of formality.

Panoramic Pleasure

We will serve you delicacies from the region and around the world with flexible mealtimes in the main restaurant. The multi-course menus will be lovingly prepared and brought to your table. By the way, these are available every day and at any mealtime. The light walls and large windows make this area of enjoyment one of the most light-flooded places on the entire ship. The most beautiful river panorama is always included.

Gratuities

It is internationally recognised that a satisfied passenger wishes to reward the efforts on their behalf made by service staff. The amount is, of course, at the passenger’s discretion and reflects the level of service rendered. Our recommendation is € 5-7 per passenger per night on board.

Cabins

All cabins are outer cabins furnished in style. With 19 m², the double cabins are very spacious. The single cabins have a size of 13 m² and the suites, a generous 39 m². All middle and upper decks have large panorama windows. The main deck cabins have large windows that cannot be opened. All cabins are equipped with an air conditioning system that can be regulated separately, shower/toilet, hair dryer, SAT TV, refrigerator and their own safe. The 2 bed cabins are equipped with a double bed with two mattresses.

The best way to get to know a coutry and its people is to exoerience them at first hand. This is the reason for our wide selection of excursions ashore. We do recommend each and every one as they form the core of our cruise experience.

We take you to the major landmarks and show you unique landscapes and cities from a different angle. The excursions are carefully planned in order to ensure excitement and entertainment as well as to forge lasting impressions, on which you can later look back with pleasure.

Naturally you can also book individual excursions on board. For even more variety we offer a selection of further, optional excursions. Our on-board cruise staff are happy to advise you, as well as sharing with you their favourite tips for your individual visits ashore.

On all excursions we provide high-quality headsets free of charge. The small receiver and earpiece allow you to step aside from the group for a moment without missing ot on the guide's commentary.

The sets are easy to use and offer a full range of volume. The sound quality is excellent without interference. You can also use these sets with any normal hearing aid.
